HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION LAW AND MANAGEMENT WESTSIDE EXTENSION
Over the course of two Saturday mornings, on August 9, 2014 and August 16, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Jeanne H. McDonald will present a course entitled “Homeowners Association Law and Management” through the Westside Extension program at West Los Angeles College in Culver City. Jeanne McDonald is a practicing attorney with over 21 years of experience in all aspects of representing homeowners associations.
COURSE DESCRIPTION: This valuable course is for property managers, property owners, board members, attorneys and anyone else involved with homeowners associations. So many properties are part of an association but HOA management and legal issues can be very complex. If you are a Board member or a professional who deals with condominiums, stock co-ops, community apartment projects, or planned developments, you need to understand the relevant laws and procedures to manage the project legally and effectively, and owners need the same knowledge to protect their interests. Attorney Jeanne H. McDonald specializes in HOA issues and she will provide you with an overall understanding of the unique legal and practical aspects of HOA ownership and management. The focus will be on rules, collections, meetings and voting, maintenance and repairs, and Board obligations. This critical information is designed to help you run an association efficiently and in compliance with applicable laws.
