WESTSIDE EXTENSION

Over the course of three Saturday mornings, March 3 – 17, 2007, the Westside Extension program at West Los Angeles College in Culver City will present a course entitled A Homeowners Association Series.® These courses will benefit owners, Board members, managers, professionals, and anyone else involved with homeowners associations. Choose the topics that interest you or save $12 by signing up for all three at the same time for just $75.

COURSE INSTRUCTOR: Jeanne H. McDonald is a practicing attorney with 14 years experience in all aspects of representing homeowners associations.

Governing documents are usually vague about maintenance and repair responsibilities of homeowners, as opposed to the responsibilities of the association. Find out how to separate these responsibilities. Also learn about the current legal requirements for adoption and enforcement of rules and regulations.

Directors on an HOA Board sometimes feel like they’re on the front line of attack. What are the risks of lawsuits and other claims against directors, or against the association as a whole? And what must directors do to meet their fiduciary obligations? Learn about the rights and responsibilities of association board members, as well as the potential liabilities they face.
